Program Overview
- Criterion: Penultimate and final year students; genuine interest in commercial law; demonstrated community involvement; strong academic performance (transcript required) - Criterion: Availability for semester-based clerkship (2–3 days/week); flexibility for longer-term placements - Criterion: Clear area of law preferences; professional communication skills (evidenced through cover letter) - Mentoring: Partner and senior lawyer exposure through clerkship placements; ongoing mentorship during 12-month graduate program - Development: College of Law PLT included in graduate program; Rostrum Club participation; CLE seminars and continuing legal education - Development: Three rotations across practice areas during graduate program for broad skills development - Pathway: Strong conversion pathway from clerkship to graduate program (firm predominantly recruits from clerkship pool); 12-month graduate program commencing February with structured career progression - Program: Flexible semester-based clerkship model (2–3 days/week) allowing concurrent study; option for longer-term placements to build depth of experience
